Lake Eildon, 140km north east of Melbourne, is a man-made catchment that resulted from damming projects between 1929 and 1955. Low rainfall in 2006 lead to Lake Eildon being at just over 5% of its capacity in 2007. This image from September 1999 shows the lake at around 30% of its capacity.
