ABOUT

In a commercial context a professional knows what they’re capable of, so it’s their job to provide repeatable results; reliably and responsibly. And yet for photography to become a creative act it’s important for me to see the subject with a degree of vulnerability and naivety — as if for the first time. For this reason I often ask my clients to give me the space to try new ideas and learn from failure on the path to success. In doing so I hopefully remind a nervous portrait subject or an eager client that there’s a first time for everything.
